PARGA

Parga is mostly known for its colourful streets and lovely sandy beaches. Located only 35 minutes away from Sivota you find this little gem full of atmosphere, restaurants, bars, and shopping. Up on the hill overlooking Valtos beach on one side and the lively harbour on the other side you find the Venetian Castle of Parga.

A visit to Parga Olive Oil Factory is a must when in Parga. Join one of their guided tours or visit the shop and sample their price awarded oil.

NICOPOLIS

Nicopolis also called the “City of Victory” or Aktia Polis was the capital city of the Roman province of Epirus Vetus. The city was founded in 29 BC. It was soon made the major city of the wider region of Epirus. Many impressive ruins of the ancient city may be visited today.

The recently built museum located just a few minutes away is one of the most interesting museums in Greece.

ACHERON RIVER

Acheron was one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld. According to Greek mythology, it was in the Acheron River, or Styx as it is also called, that Achilles was baptised by his mother Theatis to become immortal.

If you would like to experience a bit of the Greek mythology and Epirus beautiful landscape this is the destination for you! Walk and swim up the Acheron River and take in the stunning landscape. You can also rent canoes if you would like to try some level 2 rafting. Stop off at Souli Water Mills for some lunch.

 

PARGA OLD OLIVE OIL FACTORY

In the past, it was one of the most important olive oil production sites in the area. Nowadays, however, it operates as a museum with guided tours, wine tastings and cookery lessons. The onsite shop offers you the house price awarded Olive Oils and products made from olives. Located in Parga only a short drive away from Sivota. ZERVAS WINERY

In the valley of the ancient river Thyamis you find this beautiful vineyard that not only offers you fantastic sunsets but also great wines! PERDIKA

Perdika is an all-year-round village located in the mountains and only a short drive away from Sivota. Perdika is all about the square that livens up at night and many of the restaurants and bars fill up with locals as well as some tourists that found their way there. This is a taste of the local life away from the main tourism. Parents are enjoying a drink or meal while their children are playing on the square with their friends.
